The President Invites Relatives of Shot National Guard Members to White House

Former President Trump announced on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to come to the White House.

He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in DC.

Her colleague, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Memorials across the state have been held in their memory.

White House Call

The president explained he’s discussed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” Trump addressed the press. “And likewise with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Community Support

Attendees came together over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to remember Beckstrom.

Both they had been working with the state guard as part of Trump’s national effort to assist public safety in Washington DC.

“Sarah was the type of pupil that teachers desired. She behaved with calm resilience, a bright grin and a positive energy that encouraged people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, informed the media. “She was kind, compassionate and always eager to assist people.”

Memorial plans for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Judicial Steps and Policy Revisions

Law enforcement have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of violent assault while armed.

The event prompted the Trump administration to halt refugee claims and halt providing entry permits to possessors of Afghan passports.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, per the AP.

He is still undergoing care and is “in a critical fight”, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey mentioned on a news program.
