Person Who Reached For Ariana Grande during Film Launch Prohibited from Singapore

A man from Australia who vaulted over a barricade and reached for Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and banned from Singapore.

Johnson Wen, twenty-six, was sentenced to more than a week in prison for disrupting public order and has now been "banned from entering the country again," Singaporean immigration authorities told Singaporean press.

He forced his way through camera crews and approached aggressively the actress and singer, who was attending the Asian premier for Wicked: For Good on the thirteenth of November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

The individual has a record of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in the past June.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with many claiming he of causing further distress to the star.

The celebrity has discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a explosive incident at her concert in the English city in several years ago killed over twenty people and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the judge was informed he had tried to gain access on the movie's debut multiple times, according to Singaporean media.

He then made a another effort to breach security. Protection personnel stopped him and pinned him down.

He then uploaded recordings thanking Grande for permitting his access and said he was "at liberty."

Authorities arrested him the following day and accused him with disorderly conduct, to which the man admitted guilt.

The District Judge Christopher Goh was referenced by media reports as remarking that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was mistaken to assume he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not commented on the incident.

The co-star discussed the event to NBC, stating that she "simply desired to make sure my colleague was secure."

"I believe he didn't intend us danger, but you never know with these incidents, and I wanted to ensure that she was fine. That was my immediate response," she commented.
