Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the team in the wake of the fallout from his public comments.

The striker was dropped from a European match after criticising the club and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”
The manager has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also implied that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I understand there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the games following the interview fallout. Jones believes the outburst were not designed to cause disruption.
“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, performing and securing victories.”
