Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
