A individual indicted with pursuing Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a phone message which asked: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
The defendant, 24, who court testimony revealed has repeatedly claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are on trial accused with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.
On Monday, the court heard phone records and evidence retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over 2023 and 2024.
Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most widely reported missing child cases and is still unsolved.
One phone message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I feel."
While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? What then? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"
"I don't want money, I have a life here in Poland, I just want to know," the message continued.
The tribunal was told that via electronic messages, text messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a bid to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.
An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with Leicestershire Police who compiled the evidence, told the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt also communicated with close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.
On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."
During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will persist and I plan to establish my point."
The court was informed Mrs Spragg established a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in December 2024.
Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she ought to be treated respectfully in the months leading up to the trip to Rothley, the county, in that winter.
The court was told message exchanges between the two individuals, in last November, discussing endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from silverware at a eating establishment.
"We need to assert ourselves," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.
On the evening of the visit to their home, the defendant dispatched a communication which expressed: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' house with our vehicle dark resembling detectives. I had hoped to accomplish this with someone else I hadn't anticipated I would be doing that with the McCanns."
The trial ongoing.
